...and fire in the sky. I was quite devastated by Jon Lord's death. He is one of my favourite musicians from one of my favourite bands. He was doing some terrific music after retiring from Deep Purple in 2002, during a memorable concert in London. I have the DVD, and never get tired of watching it.

WOW, you really know what you are talking about! It's still not clear to me why so many musicians with a classical education, develop this love for rock and metal. I'm saying this, because a lot of classical music fans consider it as some sacrilege and pure noise. In my family, I know at least 2 members who think that way. For me is narrow mindedness! :steaming:

i and my co-students love the metal/rock music,cz it has the same structure with the classic one!
rock music is based on the classic patterns/motives!
(Deep Purple for example, did composed a wonderful fuge like song!)

This is very interesting, thanks for the input! :D
I did notice Rock's structures. Never crossed my mind to compare them with classic structures, though some influences are very evident.
